How it connects
Headroom reads SAP open items and payment proposals through OData services on S/4HANA, or through a scheduled flat-file export on older ECC systems. The same forecast model sits on top of either route. Before the first import, Headroom compares the company codes in SAP with the entities in Headroom, such as Orvane SA and Orvane GmbH, and flags any mismatch so the structure is right before a single number moves.
Payment proposals are the most useful input: they tell the forecast what your accounts-payable team intends to pay on Friday before the bank file exists. When the proposal changes, the cone redraws, and the change is listed under the week it affects with the invoices behind it. The connection is read-only. Headroom never posts a journal or releases a payment in SAP. Credit memos are netted against the vendor’s open items before they reach the forecast, so a payment run is never counted at its gross amount.
