How it connects
Headroom connects to Adyen through webhook notifications and its settlement reports, using a read-only API credential set up in your own Customer Area. Each settlement batch arrives with its gross amount, fees and net payout, and becomes an expected receipt on the day it should reach your bank. For a group selling in several countries, batches in euros, sterling and Swiss francs each keep their own currency until they land.
When the bank reports the receipt, Headroom matches it to the batch and closes the expected line. A batch that does not arrive when it should raises an alert, because a missing settlement is often the first sign of a held payout. Headroom only reads: it never changes a payment, a refund or a payout schedule in Adyen, and the credential can be revoked at any time. Every match keeps both references.
