Forecast

The forecast now shows its range

Every forecast now comes with a confidence band, and a plain explanation of what drives the low point.

Forecasts used to be a single line. They now show a band between the 10th and the 90th percentile of simulated outcomes, drawn behind the median. The width of the band is the product’s honest answer to the question “how sure are you?”, and it grows with the horizon.

A new panel, “Why is week 9 low?”, lists the movements that explain a point on the curve, in order of size. It is written in a few sentences and links each statement to the invoices, payments or contracts behind it. If the model is unsure, it says so.

The floor is now a first-class line. You set a minimum liquidity for the group or for an entity, and the chart marks the first week in which the median, or the lower edge of the band, crosses it.
