Forecast
Forecast accuracy, measured in the open
A report that compares past forecasts with what actually happened, week by week.
The accuracy report compares each forecast you looked at with the actual cash that arrived. It shows the error at every horizon, the share of weeks in which the actual value stayed inside the cone, and the categories that caused the biggest misses.
Where the cone was too narrow, Headroom widens it for the following period and says so in the chart footnote. Where it was too wide, it narrows it. The aim is a range that is honest, not a range that looks impressive.
Reports can be exported as a file or sent on a schedule to the audit committee. The method is documented on a single page in the help centre, in plain language.
